Learn French

Private French Tutor in London

Your Goals

Bienvenue,

Thanks for looking at my website. There could be a whole host of reasons why you're taking a look ... You could be looking because you need to improve your French for work. Or you may have bought a house in one of the most beautiful countries on earth (France of course!). Or you're planning a trip soon. Or you may have learned French a little while ago and now it's a bit rusty. Or you may have exams coming up. Or, embracing all that life has to offer, you're an absolute beginner and want to learn something new. Whatever your motivations, I can help you.

How we will learn together:

I know that you and your needs are different from everybody else's. And that's why I tailor every lesson to where you are at the moment and where you want to be next. I will work with you to understand what works best for your particular learning style, pace and interests to make sure that the time we spend is time well spent.

What we will learn together:

So much depends on what your goals are, and that's why I'll respond to your specific needs and interests. No lesson is the same and I don't reach for the "here's one I prepared earlier" that may well have worked well for someone else, but won't work for you. We will explore togther a combination of conversation, grammar and reading, as well as text books, things we find online and selected articles of particular interest to you. This flexibility and level of individual consideration is why private tuitions with an experienced tutor is such a great way to learn.

When we could learn together:

This really depends on you and how much time you want to devote to learning French. If you need to learn a lot and fast, we could meet several times a week for an hour or more. If you want to commit longer term, one lesson a week might be better for you. My standard working hours are Mondays to Fridays, 8am to 8pm. So, it's up to you to decide and one thing to be clear about ? I'll always think about what works for you and not try and push you into things that I know won't work.

Where we could learn together:

Learning in your place of work or your home might work best for you. Or you might want to visit me in my home in the Barbican. For those that enjoy technology we could also use Facetime or Skype. This works very well if travelling or time are issues for you. Whatever is most convenient for you is fine with me.
